The AirPods demand is growing significantly according to a report: Apple is expected to double sales this year to 60 million pieces, as the financial news agency Bloomberg citing persons familiar with the production plans of the Group.
Apple itself has so far published no specific numbers of the AirPods sales. In the wearables division, which also includes the earphones, Apple recorded a sales record in the recent fiscal quarter – and continued strong growth.

The doubling of sales is attributable to both the launch of the AirPods 2 in the spring of 2019 and the demand for the recently launched, more expensive AirPods Pro, which is "much higher" than expected. how Bloomberg writes, Apple's contract manufacturers are already at the capacity limit, online orders of AirPods Pro, the manufacturer can currently deliver only in mid-December.

According to market researchers, AirPods accounted for just over half (53 percent) of the true wireless earphone market by mid-year. AirPods Pro with noise cancellation
