The offer applies to corporate customers of the FinanzGruppe as well as to companies that have not yet had a business relationship with a Volksbank Raiffeisenbank. This gives you the chance to try it out quickly and easily online and to add a digital presence to your shop. If desired, the free website can be expanded at any time to a full online shop including a payment function.

Free website for a stronger online presence even after the lockdown

“The past few months have reinforced the trend that brick-and-mortar business and online trading are merging more and more. Today it is completely normal for consumers to find out about local shops online and look for offers, ”says VR Payment CEO Carlos Gómez-Sáez. “A responsive website is a basic requirement for this. Especially now, when retail opens again, it is important for companies of all sizes to be present offline as well as online and to signal to customers: We are there for you. We want to support this as a cooperative financial network. ”

According to the Federal Statistical Office, 62% of all companies in Germany had their own website in 2020. The campaign by the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken is intended to lower entry barriers and, in particular, to pave the way for small and medium-sized companies online.

Website creation without technical knowledge

With the free offer, retailers can create their own website including five sub-pages and present up to ten products. You can also coordinate appointments via the website and, with a direct connection to Google My Business, ensure that new customers can find their business faster using Google Search and Google Maps. The responsive design of the website ensures that it is displayed optimally on all end devices. Important messages, products, special offers, opening times and appointment options can thus be optimally displayed online.

No prior technical knowledge or programming knowledge is required. A variety of design templates and functions are available that can be adapted as required. VR Payment supports the setup with extensive video tutorials and free webinars. In addition, the payment specialist advises on all questions about online ordering and payment functions, which are integrated directly into the website and can be activated without any problems.
