fulfillmenttools – A platform for successful omnichannel fulfillment
The SaaS platform fulfillmenttools is the solution for efficient (in-store) fulfillment processes. The core of the software was created in REWE digital’s innovation hub and thus combines tech expertise with retailer DNA. The platform is now being continuously developed and expanded by the spin-off subsidiary OC fulfillment.

The most important component of the end-to-end platform is the Distributed Order Management System (DOMS). This creates the basis for linking branches and eCommerce processes. In the DOMS, the so-called order routing rules such as “shortest route to the customer” are defined so that the software can intelligently and automatically serve incoming online orders from the optimal fulfillment location – regardless of whether it is a branch or warehouse. Thanks to improved process management, online orders always reach the customer via the best route. In this way, traders can make optimal use of their available resources and save time and money.
In-store fulfillment made easy
The ship-from-store process can also be optimally handled with fulfillment tools. The Picking App digitally supports store employees in picking incoming online orders in the store and guides them step-by-step through the process with simple instructions. For example, images and barcodes of the individual products are stored for process reliability. In this way, these can be precisely identified, which minimizes errors and speeds up processes. Stocks in the branches can be viewed and corrected just as easily using the inventory management. In addition to these and other features, the Picking App offers an intuitive user interface, which makes the operation of our Picking App very easy – and without any training.
The shipping process following the picking process is easily handled with fulfillment tools via the shipping integration module. The seamlessly integrable shipping solution makes it easy to connect all established last mile service providers. From the printable label to the notification of the desired shipping service provider, courier or cargo service to tracking & tracing – all these functions are covered by the application for the route of the goods to the customer. Another crucial module of the fulfillmenttools platform is Click & Collect. With this app, customers who prefer to pick up their goods in the store can also be offered the perfect shopping experience by pre-picking their order.
