Panattoni, project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, has now been able to report the partial letting of the City Dock Spandau in Berlin to the toy supplier Kindsgut GmbH. The Berlin company, founded in 2017, sells toys, textiles and home accessories for babies and toddlers. The range includes high-quality and educationally valuable products in a subtle unisex design – which appeals to young and old alike. By moving into the City Dock Spandau, Kindsgut is pushing ahead with its expansion and establishing a new company location within Berlin. Children’s toys and accessories are stored on the rented area of around 1,700 square meters and sold through online and retail stores.
Kindsgut wants to continue dynamic development at the new location
Patrick Links, Managing Director of Kindsgut GmbH, comments on the new company location as follows: “Moving into the City Dock Spandau enables us to take into account the dynamic development of our company. We want to continue growing and the new location with its very good connections offers us many opportunities for this. ”
The innovative Business Park in Berlin Spandau is the first completed City Dock project by Panattoni. The property has a total rental area of 14,100 sqm and, thanks to its optimal connection, can be reached quickly via all traffic routes. Three federal motorways, including the A10 and the city motorway, as well as the federal highways B2 and B5 are only a few kilometers away from the property, the Spandau train station is within walking distance. The property was created according to the high quality and sustainability standards of Panattoni and has DGNB gold certification.
City Dock concept offers small-scale commercial space for SMEs
With the City Dock Concept Panattoni provides small-scale commercial space for small to medium-sized companies, branch operators and start-ups in urban or inner-city locations. The multi-tenant business parks are available to different users from trade, commerce and production. The flexibly usable and modularly expandable areas can always be tailored to the individual needs of the users in terms of equipment and division.
Within the business park, tenants can quickly and easily rent additional space if available. This allows the current market situation and company growth to be taken into account. Overall, it is now the eighth City Docks project by Panattoni. More of these business parks are currently being built in Berlin, Essen, Hilden near Düsseldorf, Hanover and Leonberg near Stuttgart.
“We welcome the fact that we have found new tenants with Kindsgut. For a young company, the City Dock in Spandau, only a few kilometers from Berlin city center, is an excellent opportunity for further growth at the location. I would particularly like to thank the building department of the Spandau district for the productive cooperation, ”says Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni. BNP Paribas acted as broker for Kindsgut. Potential tenants currently have around 12,500 sqm of usable space in the City Dock Spandau. (sg)
