A voting phase for users will start on June 6, 2021 and will end shortly before the award ceremony on July 20, 2021. There are hardly any limits to the inventiveness of the submitters. Shop connections are just as much in demand as newly set up marketplaces, logistics solutions, advertising tools or other cases relating to advertising, sales, social media, SEO and SEA strategies. But of course we have not forgotten the stationary segment: In September, cases will again be awarded with which classic branches become future-proof. ”

LBMA started the database with the best retail cases

The Location Based Marketing Association (LBMA eV) launched the Best Retail Cases database in mid-2020 to give retailers and other interested parties an overview of the diverse technologies and services that are already in practical use. It now comprises more than 120 entries, with new ones being added continuously. In addition, the Best Retail Cases Awards are given at regular intervals. The winners benefit from comprehensive reporting in the respective partner media and better visibility in the database. Partners in this award round include the Dealer Association, the amazonWatchblog, basic thinking and kassenzone.de with it.

The jury of the Best Retail Cases Awards consists largely of representatives from various media who deal intensively with the topic of retail, including cash.at, iXtenso, Bauer Media and GFM Nachrichten. The jury evaluates all cases on the basis of criteria such as use, functionality and innovation in a point system, with the total number of points achieved deciding on the winners of the respective category. The ranking of the cases is completely independent of the user voting.

Solution providers and partner dealers advertise their technology

After the deadline for submission, all interested users can vote for their preferred cases. Solution providers and partner dealers can advertise for votes in their communities in order to prove the popularity of their own technology or their own service. The users participating in the voting also have the chance to win a bike or a relaxing weekend. The winners of the current award round will be announced on July 20, 2021 as part of a livestream.

The Best Retail Cases platform provides information about the best installations and solutions in national and international retail. Previously only visible to the participants in the RetailTour, it is now also publicly accessible. The aim is to become one of the largest platforms in retail. There are currently 1,000 cases listed worldwide.
