- Nine of over 20 logistics real estate projects have already been nominated for the Logix Award.
- Presentation of the Logix Award takes place on October 11, 1021 at the Expo Real in Munich.
For the applications for the Logix Award, an interactive evaluation process was used for the first time, which uses a heatmap to determine the value of the projects on the basis of the relevant application criteria. The award is given to logistics properties that meet the demands of users and investors to a high degree and that stand out in terms of ecological, social, economic and urban planning aspects. The extended evaluation round takes place as part of a multi-stage qualification process to determine the winner of the Logix Award. By March 31, 2021, applicants were able to submit a brief application with accompanying documents such as a site plan, floor plan, building description and a reason for the project’s worthy of the prize.

“This year, too, we received a large number of exciting candidates for the Logix Award. Determining the nine projects that made it into the second round was anything but easy. They impressively show that the logistics real estate industry is already on the right track when it comes to sustainability. Many projects stand out particularly from an ecological and social point of view. Overall, the level has risen significantly, which is why the nominations for the final round were not easy. We are very excited to see how the jury will ultimately evaluate the nominated projects, ”explains Dr. Malte-Maria Münchow, Spokesman for the Logix Initiative and Head of Acquisition and Sales of Special Properties, Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH.
