Microsoft Adds New Features to Internet Browser Edge

Microsoft has released a new update for the developer version of Chromium-based Edge. With the update, Edge’s Password Monitor feature has also come to the Mac version.

Microsoft has released a new update for the developer version of the new Chromium-based web browser Edge. Microsoft Edge Dev With version 89.0.760.0, Password Monitor, one of the popular features of the browser, is also available for Mac users.

You can start using the “show password” button in the “Password fields” feature in the “Passwords” submenu of Microsoft Edge’s Settings menu. Password Monitorallows you to save and edit your username and password for any website.

Therefore, standard users have to wait for the next update to the stable version for Password Monitor. With the aforementioned update, Microsoft has also added Edge Update Policies, Browing Data Lifetime management policy and Preferred Languages ‚Äč‚ÄčIdentification management policy to the browser.

Some of the improvements and bug fixes included with Microsoft Edge Dev version 89.0.760.0:

  • Fixed the error “Edge is still running” when reinstalling Edge.
  • The download list has been arranged to show the output saved as PDF.
  • Installed extensions will be pinned to the toolbar by default.
  • Fixed the issue where the screen tearing occurred while playing video or scrolling.
  • Fixed the issue where vertical tabs got damaged during drag and drop operation.
  • Fixed issue where “Share” was not available when using Immersive Reader.
  • Fixed failure to interact with some downloads blocked by SmartScreen.
  • Fixed the Edge not working issue after update on Mac.
  • Fixed an issue where some keyboard shortcuts were not working on Mac.
