Microsoft introduces new Surface hardware on September 22nd

Microsoft invites you to an online event on September 22, 2021 at 5 p.m., which will be about Surface hardware. The company does not reveal any further information, but shows a Surface Pro as an invitation. In addition to a new version of this notebook especially for Windows 11, the successor to the Surface Duo flip phone is expected.

The idea is open to practically everyone, not just media representatives. The new devices should be geared towards the next version of the Windows operating system. Windows 11 arrives on October 5th.

Like its predecessor, the Surface Duo 2 clamshell phone should be equipped with two screens, but now with three rear cameras. These suggest a telephoto lens, an ultra-wide angle and a standard lens. Rumors speak of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, 5G support and NFC for contactless payments. The first Surface Duo is still based on a Snapdragon 855 and is limited to 4G and a single camera.

A successor to the Surface Book 3 is also under discussion. This high-end notebook should come with a screen that can no longer be removed. As a further product, a new version of the Surface Pro 7+ could be shown, which would not only be designed for business customers.
