Number 50 is alive: OpenBSD 6.9 runs (a little) on Apple’s M1 processor

Many modern security features and tools come from OpenBSD. LibreSSL, the lean and secure alternative to OpenSSL, is available in version 3.3.2, OpenSSH as 8.5 and the OpenSMTPD, which was developed from scratch some time ago, as version 6.9. The number of the many small innovations and improvements is, as usual, very long and detailed in den Release-Notes zu OpenBSD 6.9 documented. As always, there is also artistic support for the release in the form of a graphic and a song. OpenBSD 6.9 is for various hardware architectures on the project’s mirror servers available free of charge.
