PC version: Death Stranding is released simultaneously on Epic and Steam

If the action game Death Stranding (test on Golem.de) in the early summer of 2020 for Windows PC appears, then players can do it simultaneously through the online shops Steam and Epic Games Store Respectively.

That's what the Italian company has 505 games Posted by Developer Studio Kojima Productions has secured worldwide publishing rights.

Pre-orders are already possible on the portals, the price is around 60 euros each. A concrete date of publication does not name both. According to the latest information, the game is not sold through other shops. Whether Death Stranding appears on Google Stadia and Boxed in stationary trading is not yet known.

So far, Death Stranding is only available for the Playstation 4. The game is based on the Decima engine of the Dutch Sony subsidiary Guerilla Games. If the game is not yet ported to another runtime environment – which seems extremely unlikely -, Decima would also be used for the first time on Windows PC. So far, with Killzone Shadow Fall, Until Dawn, Horizon Zero Dawn and just Death Stranding exclusively games for the Playstation 4.

The games that were previously developed by Kojima Productions for other platforms were implemented without significant problems. Most recently, the studio released the Fox Gear-based Metal Gear Solid 5 – The Phantom Pain for Windows PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4, among others.

Death Stranding sends players into post-apocalyptic North America. There you are on the way as a freight carrier Sam Porter to supply settlements with medicines, scrap metal or sometimes with fresh pizza.

At the same time, however, one is also fighting against a mysterious power and on behalf of the government for the salvation of the world. The biggest challenge is usually to master the complex journeys despite the many dangers and often huge amounts of luggage.
