Rose Bikes GmbH expands management by Uwe Schmäing and Fabian Loest – eCommerce Magazin

Uwe Schmäing has been filling the newly created position of Head of Supply Chain at Rose Bikes GmbH since July 1, 2021 and will in future be responsible for the continuous optimization of purchasing on the part of employees and customers as well as the overarching systematization of work processes. The marketing department, previously headed by Anatol Sostmann, has been under the responsibility of Fabian Loest since August 1st. In the newly created position as Head of Marketing, he will take over the coordination and coordination of all operative marketing processes in the company.

Rose Bikes GmbH’s workforce continues to grow

Rose Bikes GmbH records enormous growth every year, which is also reflected in the number of employees. In the past financial year, the bicycle expert increased the workforce by 110 employees. A further 120 positions should be filled by the end of the current financial year 20/21, which ends on October 31, 2021.

After training as an industrial clerk and studying business administration in Mönchengladbach, Uwe Schmäing started his professional career at the international Vesuvius group. Most recently he managed the purchasing of raw materials with a focus on Asia as Global Category Director Magnesia Compounds and brings with him a high level of expertise in roles and responsibilities of complex organizations. In addition, he has completed two part-time master’s courses in the fields of logistics and business psychology.

New Head of Supply Chain wants to optimize information and material flow

“To harmonize the work of the individual departments and to coordinate the entire team with one another in order to become even more successful,” is how he formulates one of his challenges at Rose Bikes. In addition to the technical management of purchasing for merchandise, his job in future will include everything that has to do with the flow of information and material.

“Rose Bikes intends to introduce a new ERP system in 2022 and I’m looking forward to being part of it from the start, helping to set it up and optimize it,” said Schmäing. The 35-year-old has been very sporty since childhood and is enthusiastic about bikes of all categories. He is also looking forward to working with a sustainable product and a brand that prioritizes the responsible use of resources and employees.

New Head of Marketing wants to drive growth

Fabian Loest has many years of experience in marketing, retail and e-commerce with a premium brand. Born in Herford, Germany, he worked for the international fashion label Marc O’Polo in Stephanskirchen in Upper Bavaria for almost seven years. As team leader of campaign management, he was responsible for strategic omnichannel campaign planning as well as for the conception and roll-out at all customer touchpoints. “The bikes are absolutely great and the launch plan amazed me,” said the 32-year-old. “In addition, a lot will happen in the field of bike clothing. These are all topics I’m really looking forward to and looking forward to tackling them together with my colleagues and teams. ”

With Fabian Loest, the bicycle manufacturer and dealer has not only brought a marketing expert to Bocholt. Loest is also an avid road and mountain bike rider who shares the Rose Spirit. “For over 15 years cycling and everything related to it has been my greatest passion. So the combination is just perfect for me now. ”
