Spotify lifts the limit of 10,000 songs in the library

“Epic music collection, my friend” – this message will be a thing of the past at Spotify. Until now, the music streaming service could store up to 10,000 songs in the library, this limit is now being lifted. However, this does not apply to individual playlists and downloads.

According to an entry in the Spotify community forum, there have been many requests to lift this limit – specifically 12,500 votes in one poll. Now you comply with the wish. Unlimited songs and albums can be saved and liked in the library. However, playlists are still limited to 10,000 songs, as is the upper limit of 10,000 songs that can be played offline on five different devices. The cancellation will “soon” be available to all users.

Until about two years ago, the limit for offline downloads was 3333 songs per device, with three devices allowed. After complaints in the forum and the community pages, Spotify was raised to 10,000 titles.
