With a new two-factor authentication, Teamviewer users can now secure their remote connections. This requires a smartphone on which a push notification can be approved or rejected.
Users can activate the 2FA in the security options of the Teamviewer client. A QR code can also be generated here, which can be used to add smartphones. The necessary app is available for Android and iOS.
If users add multiple smartphones, they all receive a push notification. For the 2FA, however, only the first confirmation of this is decisive. Two-factor authentication works at the beginning exclusively with Windows.
