“Witcher” actor Henry Cavill builds high-end PC with AMD Ryzen 9 3900X

At least since the release of the series “The Witcher” on Netflix, it has been known that lead actor Henry Cavill has a certain affinity for video games and the fantasy genre. He already played the action adventure “The Witcher 3” before a series in the universe was even discussed. He then read Andrzej Sapkowski’s books.

When asked “Playstation or Xbox?” in the Video interview with NME Cavill replied: “PC”. According to his own statements, his father introduced him to the world of gaming PCs as a child, but the actor has not yet assembled his own. “It will be the next project as soon as I find the time”. Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, it is apparently so far because Cavill shared a build video on his Instagram channel – a very charming one or two entry problem.

Company and brand names are largely censored, but the hardware used can still be identified quite easily: Cavill installs AMD’s 12-core processor Ryzen 9 3900X on Asus’ ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (X570 chipset) including 32 GB DDR4 RAM ( G.Skill TridentZ RGB) and Asus’ ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. There are also two 1 TB PCI Express 3.0 SSDs from Samsung. The whole thing is in the Fractal design case Define 7. An all-in-one water cooling from NZXT with a 360 mm radiator keeps the processor at temperature.

“The Witcher 3” previously streamed Cavill via third-party channels on Twitch. Should he get a taste for it in times of the corona virus, he could once again embody the witcher Geralt from Riva in the action adventure and himself miss your own “Witcher” face from the series thanks to Mod. The single player can also be paused, so that Cavill would no longer have to leave casting calls unanswered (as was the case with a “World of Warcraft” raid).
